HO Brass PFM - United GN - Great Northern L-2 Class 2-6-6-2 Crown Model
1957 run PFM - United imported model built by United in Japan. Original box shows remarkably little wear for its age and includes some original packaging materials. No spare parts. 1 of 157 built crown series models. Originally built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Great Northern in 1908, the L-2's were later rebuilt in the 1920's into the O-5 class 2-8-2's. Recently serviced - old gearbox grease cleaned out and replaced. Drivers centers and tires are un-plated from the factory. A smooth and quiet model, it would make a fine addition to any Great Northern collection. Excellent example of a vintage model.
